Behind the Toolkit

Who is ChurchWorks?

This toolkit has been produced by ChurchWorks. We are a Commission of the 16 major UK church denominations in the UK, who are committed to working together with the public sector to support the most vulnerable in our communities.

ChurchWorks' expertise derives from the experience of the churches role across communities and this toolkit has been designed to support stronger engagement between Local Authorities and local churches. We hope that much of the guidance will be useful and applicable to other faith communities, but recognise that some of the language and context may need to be adjusted to suit different audiences.

ChurchWorks is supported operationally by the Good Faith Partnership, an organisation with expertise of working with all faith groups in the UK. This toolkit has been produced in consultation with the Gather Movement, Spurgeons, Exodus Youth Worx UK and representatives from ChurchWorks denominations. The materials have been tested with Local Authority partners. We are very grateful to everyone who contributed to this toolkit.
