The team at ChurchWorks have helped us to maximise our community engagement and have encouraged us to become a church with a voice in the community. They have provided the tools that we needed to work closely with local authority partners such as the Family Hub to increase our impact.

The Salvation Army appreciates their partnership with the ChurchWorks Commission. Working inter-denominationally is a priority to us and we see how mission and ministry can serve our communities when we work in partnership together. It is helpful to share ideas, resources and common desire for raising Kingdom Values in government, state and Church partnerships.

This is an excellent opportunity for God’s people everywhere to make a difference in bringing healing, reconciliation and raising hope for so many people.

The church should be involved in solving the needs of its community… the Church can play a wonderful role in reaching people, connecting people, in praying for people, in dealing with issues such as mental wellbeing and domestic abuse for people within and outside the church.

The Warm Welcome Campaign demonstrates the willingness of churches and different community organisations across the UK to partner, and most importantly, to come alongside and serve those most in need this winter and beyond.

In this time, we are needed. There is loneliness, despair, hopelessness which the church is able to engage with and the church is far better when we do it together.

ChurchWorks has been pivotal not only in bringing churches together to coordinate the warm welcome campaign but to convince inter church conversations about mental health and isolation too. ChurchWorks is a vital ecumenical partner of CTE and we remain committed to supporting the work it commissions.

As one of the leaders of the Methodist Church in Britain it’s been so very helpful to make the connections that ChurchWorks offers, working with others has meant that we’ve been able to be more than the sum of our parts, and that level of mutual learning and honesty really only happens in the commissioners meetings.

The ChurchWorks Commission helps us as a team to see the bigger picture - political, faith, church and community; serving alongside other organisations.

The ChurchWorks Commission provides for the Church of England with a practical partner in engagement on policy and in action on the ground in responding to key issues affecting our communities.

We believe that to serve local communities and see community transformation, churches, government, and charities need to work together in partnership. This is exactly what ChurchWorks aims to do – it is a conduit for bringing these groups together to work more holistically and not in silos, to see those who are most in need supported well.

Working with ChurchWorks has helped us to collaborate with other charities focusing on social impact. There is so much to be done presently in the UK, and it has been such a blessing to not only hear how other charities are working on these issues and sharing the load, but also how we can collaborate and use our skill sets to support one another to be more efficient as we move forwards.

Partnering with ChurchWorks has enabled us to think wider about our work, and encouraged us to seek more partnerships with networks that we might otherwise not have been able to. We have found contributing towards the work of The Warm Welcome Campaign valuable, by being able to contribute towards this national initiative, we have been enabled to see the bigger picture of all that churches are doing in their communities to reach individuals who have spiritual and practical needs.

We know this is going to be a tough winter for many, with our youngest children most at risk. Having places for families to go that are local, warm and welcoming will make a big difference. The Warm Welcome initiative is a simple and effective way of connecting people and places so no one needs to struggle alone.

At Libraries Connected we know that public libraries are determined to help people during the difficult months ahead. We’re proud to be a partner of the Warm Welcome Network, which is playing such a vital role by bringing together all the community organisations that have stepped up to offer a warm space and friendly face this winter.

As a charity focusing on addressing loneliness and social isolation across the UK, we are acutely aware of the prospect of a combination of factors affecting the physical, emotional and psychological wellbeing of many people this winter. Concern about bills, heating and food are already leading to increased levels of anxiety and this – in turn – leads to increased feelings of loneliness. This is why we are partnering with Warm Welcome to provide training for volunteers in their key roles and to promote this crucial initiative.
